I adore Nattō, I mix it with a pinch of dashi, English mustard and shoyu to whip it into a frenzy. Nattō is a superb food and if you can get it out of the package you are a genius. It is so gooey, sticky and difficult to manage, you almost need a diploma to manage it. I am not sure there are many people still eating Nattō for breakfast. This food has become a novelty in some supermarkets, with a declining interest from the young generation.
The straw package above helps maintain a stable level of the bacteria Bacillus Subtilis, a gram positive bacteria, antibacterial, antifungal and antihelminthics are drugs that expel parasitic worms (helminths) from the body, by either stunning or killing them. The long and short, Nattō is excellent.
