The kiwifruit or Chinese Gooseberry, shortened to kiwi, is the edible berry of a woody vine. There are many types of kiwi but all kiwis require both a male and a female plant in order to set fruit. There are self-fertile varieties of each species which yield smaller fruits. Both male and female plants produce flowers, but only the female will produce fruit and this fruit is Japanese perfect!
