One of the lesser-known truffles is the Brumale /t. brumale vitt/ and aroma and flavor of this truffle is quite strong but a little musky, nut-like undertone. The season for the Brumale Truffle overlaps with the Summer and Burgundy Truffle, but is frequently found throughout the year.
