I honestly think he is one of the great wine makers in Italy in the past 100 years. He is dedicated to his trade, his garden, culture, terroir and his aim for perfection. The Soldera 2005 was consumed at the same evening as the 2009 Echezeaux, and despite not being French, it was equally as interesting and flavorful. His wines are hand crafted and have his intense style and finesse. This is a very good wine for drinking now or lying in your cellar.
