When I come to Toronto, I used to religiously visit Joso restaurant on Davenport. These days a tear comes to my eyes, as it just isn’t the same without the tenderness of Joso, Angiolina and his daughter Elena.

With the sad passing of Angiolina, Joso stays comforted by his wonderful and compassionate daughter who takes care of Joso who lives in his native Croatia. I miss the joys of sitting at a his table during lunch, talking and hearing his stories or going in the kitchen to watch the bustle.

Joso’s family and his talents are easily recognized by the wonderful memory lane, their photographs, sculptures and painting, surrounding every corner in the restaurant. Joso is still a legend, a legend that we will always cherish close to our hearts.
