Salty Waters

The water is salty in this source, located on the roof top. The temperature is not a burning hot as the white pools of water at the other onsen give a warm-brisk sensation. This is a special place, amidst a forest, the clouds pass with the cold wind. The birds are hidden in the snowed trees. The point of relaxation is here and you melt like a sandwich in-between your mind and body as the water settles around you.

abathShokuen-sen, the salt springs are the most common type of hot spring in Japan and they are colorless, taste salty but make it almost impossible to produce a lather with soap unless you wash off. Salt spring waters are known to help lower back pain and poor circulation.
