Sitting just before midnight, the tradition is soba, one of typical Japanese noodles in prefer in winter.  The tamago is topped by our friend with shichimi, a red pepper based spice with seven ingredients. It isn’t often that we use it but it isn’t unusual that some spice their foods with it.
