Yesterday I was up before dusk, it was windy and warm. The time was 4:20 and I was admittedly very tired. Under a dark sky, we drove to the local beach thinking that I was meeting some local fishermen to buy fish. To my surprise, I was told “we are going fishing” and it was my first time to ride a long-tail boat. Our target was squid fishing and after swimming to the boat, I was feeling a little annoyed.

Our skipper Sydney was always smiling as he tried and tried but had no success in reeling in a single thing. Khun Koy from our villa yielded several decent calamari and sepia. She seems to have the magic touch and she is proud of it boasting about her catch.
