Once the largest Hindu temple and religious monuments in the world, the temple is an early 12th century and known as present-day capital of the Khmer Empire.

Many people join and gather for the sunrise at Angkor Wat. I am not sure if it is beautiful or grotesque when the tourists gather demanding to be filmed themselves. The setting is beautiful and surreal with noisy swallows flying above. The birds make noise but the tourists are much worse.
