There is nothing quite like Ladurée or is there? Working hard at branding while creating new flavors, my guess is they are compromising quality for quantity. The addition of more and more flavors, mostly to attract Asian clients has become more about the trendy boxes and packaging.
The Pink Pepper (pictured above) includes pink creamy pepper, sweet and spicy. The over use of artificial flavorings and colorings takes the driver’s seat more and more. Lovers of Ladurée should know that the macaron’s are not “freshly baked and served”, the real word is, they are always frozen at the factory and then transported to the stores around Paris.
