Sitting with Lamberto Frescobaldi, we touch our glasses and raise and salute to Ornellaia 1997. This was a wine made by Marchesi Ludivico Antinori hence M.L.A. – his initials which were used on the label until Lamberto purchased the estate.

The rest is history and this wine today is a little different, the blend is more or less the same, yet the Cabernet is less pronounced. This 1997 a very good and powerful wine, still a little tight, yet it perfect to drink and a wow finish.
