Cicada Cicala

If you ever travel to South eastern Asia you’ll discover a noise that lingers in the jungle under humid and hot temperatures. So what is it? The noise is made by local Cicada an insect that brushes its wings and makes a humming noise that takes over your physical space.

They are considered a delicacy for some and for others just a noise pest. Cicadas are benign to humans under normal circumstances and do not bite or sting in a true sense, but may mistake a person’s arm or other part of their body for a tree or plant limb and attempt to feed.

High-protein, low-carb dieters, Cicadas are skewered, deep fried or stir-fried as a delicacy [yuck]
