I have always admired kiriko cut glass and there are numerous grades of quality and design. Most of the time they can be tacky, or in bad taste but when they are simple and not overly ornate, they are magic.

Here it is served western styled, a long stem glass with ume @ Wadakin, a refreshing glass of plum juice to start the meal but a little too sweet.
