When you hike, there are certain risks and don’t make the mistake of touching this plant, or getting you leg exposed to it, or any part of your body.

It is not too early for poison ivy, but it’s a little early for tree leaches, or ticks, although I did pull some ticks off my pants. They are nasty and tough, they lodge themselves into wherever they can.
