I admit I never heard of tri tip turkey, as it was explained as part of the leg. As far as I know the tri-tip is bottom sirloin, at least on a cow, and it is named tip because it has a tip where it joins another muscle. Now the Turkey is tri-tip and so it could be a thigh, and it is try tipped at the knee-joint?
