Yesterday I decide to make a trip to a wine broker and buy some California wines, just to be sure that I am up to date. I purchased a series of high level wines just to taste and compare. The first was Aubert 2007, a chardonnay, a full-bodied, creamy, light citrus and lots of power for a wine that is 7 years old.
The taste of oak and fruit lingers on and on. Typical California wine, delicious and jam-packed with fruit and a nice and easy acidity.
The wine was tasted in two different type Riedel bowls (seen here) and the open bowl obviously showed more style and character.
