Speaking with the chef Denis Martin he shows off an old coffee maker and rightly so identifies it as a good kitchen tool. It was patented for the first time by the inventor Luigi De Ponti for Alfonso Bialetti in 1933.
The Moka pot is a stove-top coffee maker that produces coffee by passing boiling water (pressurized) by steam through ground coffee. The concept of pressure is an excellent tool to use it for extracting flavors and the coffee can be replaced with other ground materials.
