Domain Guiberteau is the third generation on the estate, and things have changed radically since he took over. Romain oversees the organic farm and does all the wine making at the estate. His vines date back to the years just after World War II and include some of the prime sites in and around Saumur.
Clos Rougeard’s hyper-rare wine is our top choice of the Rougeard Brézé: http://mesubim.com/2014/08/01/clos-rougeard-breze-2009/
100% Chenin Blanc this wine had deep colored mineral backbone with plenty of character and fruit and a petrol that carries it for a long time.
The aging of this Brézé is allowed to ferment naturally in 1/2 year old wooden Burgundian pieces (228lt) after which its simply left alone for up to 24 months on its fine lees.
