A trip to Venissa is worth it any time of the year. Located on the island of Mazzorbo in the heart of the Lagoon Park. You are surrounded by their own vineyard, produced from a grape known as Dorona. Known as the Golden Grape during the age of the Venetian Doges this indigenous grape variety almost became extinct and after centuries of history and only a few plants were left hidden away in vegetable gardens and convents. The wine is incredible, sweet, long and well defined and a perfect golden elegance.
