The beauty of Tinos lies in ToThalassaki and the wonderful creations produced there. The dishes are their own family’s traditional recipes and reinterpreted to modernize them by using a sense of humor. The foods are meticulous, scrumptious and well thought out.
The chef and restaurant manager (co-owners) source most of their ingredients from the island, using local produce as much as possible. Behind the restaurant is their vegetable garden that grows their prized tomatoes!
If you have a chance to visit Tinos make sure to pass-by ToThalassaki (isternia bay) and enjoy a seaside lunch or dinner. Take a swim and watch the sunset or blue skies from under your nose. Oh don’t forget to make a reservations and be on time.
Be sure to try the locals string beans with manouri cheese and order the taramosalata and the potatoes are from the island. The cuisine there is sublime!
