A monumental wine-it has the life of a tiger; young with plenty of liveliness. The wine races in your mouth and drinks perfectly. The fruit is fresh and the acidity carries it through the years. A fantastic vintage, a wine making style that Gravner abandoned.
It was their merlot reserve from friulano and a result of 10 years of aging. The fermentation was in open vats of oak, for 5 weeks, without the addition of selected yeasts, without control of temperature.
Aging in oak barrels from 228 liters to 36 months in the bottle for six years and bottled without fining and no filtration.
