Magma Rosso 4 – 2004

My first impression was genius, insanity, even impossible, but this wine in a few minutes opens up into a glorious umami delight. Magma is made from vieilles vignes, a grape named nerello mascalese (indigenous?) is used and clearly long maceration with little interference. The wines are not oxidized and are intense and deep, buzzing with a tingle of Co2, and a long-lasting impression of what is possible when you respect mother nature.

(95 Points)
