Fouskes Aegean

The seas of the Aegean hold many underwater seafood surprises and this one of those. Sea shells attached to underwater rocks are edible and known as Fouskes, or Microcosmus Sabatieri. If you are swimming and you see them, pry them off the rock with a knife because they are very firmly glued to the rock. The taste is definitely bitter and it takes some getting used to.
