When I was traveling in Laos I ran across this papaya salad and I posted it in the past. I ran across this finishing detail where fresh lime is added, a final zing to the salad. The thai green papaya (named Som Tam) is characterized in Thailand. In Laos it’s named “Tum mark hoong” and is a Lao spicy green papaya salad made with onion and tomato, an excellent combination. More interesting is the connectivity of people working on one salad (at the same time) replacing the machine work commonly needed.
