Mona Lisa @ Bantey Srei – video

In superb condition, this female deity (An engraving of a devatas) is intricately carved with what the Japanese call a Mona Lisa smile found at the Hindu temple of Bantey Srei. Banteay Srei is the only major Angkorian temple constructed not by a monarch, but by a courtier. It is known for its small scale and the extreme refinement of its decorative carvings including numerous important narrative bas-reliefs dealing with scenes from Indian mythology.
