One of those magnificent treasures where man and nature seem impermanent and they are. A place considered by Cambodians as a sacred place and one of those splendid examples of a 12th Century construction. This temple expresses the Buddhist notion that all of existence is transient, or in a constant state of change.
The stones are shrouded in dense jungle this temple is unlike any other stone construction I’ve ever seen. The light reflects in a way that seems not to be of this world, a place far away from western reality, the banyan and kapok trees spread their gigantic roots over stones as their branches strangle the physical world there.
