A stroll through one of Tokyo’s oldest and most impressive gardens. Korakuen was designated a special historical site and special scenic spot in March 1952 under the Law for the Protection of Cultural Properties. The only Metropolitan gardens to receive that double designation are these gardens and Hama-rikyu Royal Gardens.
