Sakura is slow but sure and this week it will crank up as the weather warms up. But most of cherry trees along side of the roads or in the parks are Somei-yoshino, Prunus yedoensis and they don’t bear perfect fruits because they are hybrids.
So look in the tree and see the birds on the branch amusing himself. So what do they birds eat? The birds eat eagerly the flowers nectar and not fruits. The Nectar is a sugar-rich liquid produced by plants in glands called nectaries, so there you go, Nectar.
