Bee’s Honey: http://www.bee-family.com/en/home.html

The world would be much different if bees didn’t exist? I am not sure but either way bees are responsible for pollinating about one-sixth of the flowering plant species worldwide. Simply the transfer of pollen from the male part of the flower’s anther to the stigma the female part of the flower makes a plant’s seed, nuts, or fruits become pollinated and get formed. So you can imagine the severity of bees dying, the devastation we could face.

Bees for a decade or more have been dying off at an unprecedented rate of 25% percent per year. Many species are becoming extinct. In the last few years scientists have accumulated a compelling evidnece pointing to a class of insecticides called neonicotinoids but not only.

These chemicals widely used in commercial agriculture have lethal effects on bees. Other pesticides are also effecting them, and invasive parasites and a general decline in the quality of bees diets – not to mention: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colony_collapse_disorder

But what is more scary is that bees are migrating less and less due to warmer temperatures and this means a continent-wide habitat shrinkage. So bees will migrate less and eventually we will starve, or need to pay our neighbours for fresh foods from far away 🙂
