I passed them and said, “why not to myself” and walked away. Then I turned around and went back and watched them. I was stunned at the price @ $25/peach. But then again, what would you expect from Japanese producers. I remember when I was in rungis and looked at the first cherries and they were expenisve as hell. If I recall correctly 800 euro for a box of a few kg.

So when I returned home, I opened them up and took a photo and tried one……

The sweetness factor was 8/10 but the taste wasn’t what I expected and felt let down 🙁 as the texture was slightly mushy.
