My wife calls me Mr. Beef and maybe I am – but maybe I am not. I do eat plenty of meat, I adore a good steak when its supreme. There are many memories where I had top-notch meat both here in Europe, and in Asia definitely. But after weeks of eating Fassone red meat, I was exhausted and it’s hard to believe but in Piemonte salad is not on the list.
So on my last day I stopped into our ceremonial restaurant where we always go religiously on our last day in Piemonte. There is no way to beat classically served Fassone with some salt, olive oil and no other real human interference – except the truffles from the Langhe.
