The visit to Alba wouldn’t be the same without the trip to Albaretto, a small village in the hillside of Piedmonte. There you’ll find Filippo the son of Cesare, who is taking over the helm of the kitchen with his wife Sylvia. This trip was during a bank holiday so finding places to eat was more complicated than usual.
The cuisine at Oste Filippo includes some last-minute foods for us, as we dropped in unexpectedly so we had the chance to try some and some of his artichoke, and classical fassone beef prepared with olive oil and celery, my favourite preparation.
We always enjoy the wine knowledge and now the kitchen of Filippo who’s working hard to satisfy his clients. The wines were excellent and the company as usual – see you next time.
Mr. Moon en Magnum xxxooo 😦 et Sylvia xxxooo 🙂
