Pranzegg is a historic vineyard in Kampill in Italy’s Alto Adige wine region. The wine Quirein is cultivated on a gravel and magmatic rock where Lagrein grape variety native to sun tyrol and it has been grown there for generations. The wines follow 8 weeks of maceration on skins and a long elevage in large oak and concrete tanks from anywhere from 2-3 years +. Absolutely no herbicides or fertilisers have been used in the vineyards for over 30 years and today the vineyard is biodynamic certificated.
Martin (wine maker) is the third generation of the Gojer family to grow grapes on his 2 hectare of terraces. All the wines are now made, matured and bottled on site.
The wine is matured without sulphur additions or rackings resulting in dark berry, a serious complexity of minerality, and simply a beautiful glass of wine.
