The legally defined vineyard area for Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo wine production covers communes in all four provinces in Abruzzo: Chieti, L’Aquila, Pescara and Teramo. Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo is amogest the newest DOC of Abruzzo, it was created in October 2010, wines formerly labeled as Montepulciano d’Abruzzo Cerasuolo.

This wine seemed a little under the weather yet still very good to drink.
