Unassuming and almost in the middle of no where, or in the middle of everywhere. This is a small restaurant wine bar, a lost in translation type place where the owner has served some of the best French wines over the past decades. He admits he cannot access these great wines anymore, the demand is just too high and supply is too little.
However we are lucky enough to drink a few legendary wines and sip them in the privacy of a B1 basement in Nagoya. We started with a Leflaive Chevalier 2010, it had power and was intense, and the next wine the Roumier 2005 was classic and was superb, and then the Rousseau, a powered muscle bound yet burgundian heavy weight, and no doubt to drink the 2010 was fantastic, a genius of the vinatge. The end to a great trip with my drinking partner 💁 and another DRC notch on her belt.
