I tasted it on release and I purchased 10+ cases, later drinking it until I was fed up. On release the DRC cases were opened in CH, and cases were made of cases (12 bottles) each of the respective DRC wines; Echezeaux, Grands, Richebourg, etc. – and then they were sold (discounted) into US market until Wilson Daniels had Lalou retired as the Gerant. The Romanee-Conti all went to Japan and the rest is history. This is really a very good 1988 and it was drinking perfectly.
