This is a fantastic beef named Obanazawa a prefecture that has a ‘humid continental climate’,  with large seasonal temperature differences, warm to hot (and often humid) summers and sometimes severely cold winters. Precipitation is significant throughout the year, but is heaviest from August to October. So why grow beef there?
