There is only one Filippo; he is funny, fast and passionate. I sit in his garden and reminisce about my past visits to Albaretto. The garden is now his home and with his charming wife Sylvia, who is mostly at his side lending him a hand, she is the brains (smile).
I love this place, it is so charming and refreshing yet mystical as the fog settles over the hillside. We sit sipping a Mascarello wine and taking in the magical vista. The sunshine beams down on our table and makes us shine with happiness. This is one of those places that is unique on this globe. The light, sky, mountains air and simplicity make it so refreshing.
I spent most of my days with Filippo and we laughed, ate and drank some great locals Barolo wine.
