Peking Duck @ Ishingo

Unknown-2

Many Chinese complain that the Chinese cuisine in Tokyo is an adaptation of the “real” cuisine they eat at home. I am not sure but on the other hand I am not in any position to judge. I know one thing for sure, the Chinese cuisine you eat in Tokyo is cooked to perfection, and has the refinement that some would consider too squeaky clean.

Recently, we enjoyed the cuisine of Ishigo, a restaurant that I have been going to for almost thirty years. It is old-fashioned but the cooks are Chinese. The room is out dated and silly looking it takes you back in time. The Peking duck is delicious and should be ordered in advance.
