There are so many biological wines in the region of the Amalfi Coast using local indigenous varieties, made from 50% Aglianico and 50% Piedirosso.
The Furore a coastal vineyard is terraced along the cliffs at altitudes between 200-550 meters above sea level. The grapes benefit from sunny southern exposure and a unique micro-climate, a combination of ocean currents, mountains and high-pressure systems. The volcanic and alluvial soils of the vineyards produce unique aromas, and the yields are 6000 Kilos per hectare, 1.3 Kg per plant.
The wine is then aged in new French oak barrels for 12 months prior to bottling. This is a wine that makes me dream of Amalfi coast, sun shinning, blue skies and a fresh breeze. It has dense fruit, balanced by ripe red cherries, spices, green peppers, and intensity.
