This photograph depicts an unripe Japanese plum which is used to make a sweet Japanese alcohol. It is by coincidence that I recently posted a few articles about “ume” which is Japanese plum.

I do like Japanese plum but it is not something that I am chasing, it is something more geared towards the female audience. There are many different levels of umeshu, it is both sweet, and has a level of alcohol which can be easily adjusted to drink on a regular basis. This was offered to us to taste after diner by a very close friend of mine who is a master chef.
