The candy man is everyone’s favourite place to visit, as kids we flock to sweets where they be hand-made, or as most are mechanically made. The global intake of sugar isn’t declining, it is rising as more and more people turn to sweets. Sweets represent a place that warms your soul, but in many countries is in part the cause for obesity.

Despite the prevalence of generally slim figures in Japan, obesity rates, along with diabetes, have been climbing for the past three decades, partially due to the adoption of some Western diet customs, like fast food. But as long as sweets are handmade, integrity a priority, sugar lovers prevail.
