I agree Japan produces some of the best tomatoes and if you’ve tried fruit tomato, you would understand. Now step back and travel to the northeast part of Kyushu in the south of Japan bordered by the Genkai Sea, the Tsushima Strait to the north and the Ariake Sea to the south.
There you’ll find a buffalo heart tomato, it is sweet, rich, sense and has no soggy bruising. An awesome product that isn’t easy to find unless you are willing to travel to Tokyu Department store in Shibuya-ku. Sometimes a trip is worth it!
If you buy these tomatoes, make sure you cut them horizontally and extra thick.
