Sleeping on the train is brought on by long working hours, long commutes and boredom. It is exacerbated by opportunities to sleep on seats, and the lulling motion of the train. Even in department stores, you’ll people asleep on a public bench, trying to take a short cat-nap to re-charge the battery. This Japanese worker was lured into a massage chair and within minutes he was snoring :-)…that was after he removed his shoes.
