Old doesn’t always mean good and this is a perfect example. While visiting Kyoto, I was in search of soba for lunch and fell into a tourist trap nearby the most famous ryokan named Tawaraya. This noodle was wet and soggy and the fact that the mentsuyu was awful didn’t help. /Just avoid it/
