I find myself in the Swiss Alps with plenty of sweets but missing my sweetheart :-). Cremeschnitte is made throughout eastern Europe, as well as far south as Romania and Serbia. Principally made with vanilla custard cream cake it includes puff pastry base and sandwiched between is the custard cream. One Swiss Franc per centimeter is a cool idea – an excellent dessert.
