These are wild caught oysters and are almost like meat. In most cases oysters are farmed in Japan and it is easy to tell the difference.Look at the shell’s outer landscape and you can easily tell. The farmed are more clean on the surface of the shell and the shapes more consistent, while the farmed more mossy and less uniform.
