The first proper I was in Munich was during the 1972 Olympics with my family when I visited the beer gardens. This time I was recommended a wine bar named Geisel, located near the main train station. The room is chic, lots of people, and lots of English, so I had the impression it is a touristic place. The service is excellent and the people friendly as I watched my neighbours enjoying a pasta.
They have a good list of German wines, and twenty or so grape varieties by the glass, with a good selection of International wines from around the globe. I tried a gold Kassel J.J. Prum 2005 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Auselse and it was racy, young and had a good structure but needs more time.
