There is no doubt Roshfeld is complex, difficult and sometimes unlucky but he deserves better. I am not defending his personality, his mistakes, or his inability to get past Israeli media’s negative streak. I can tell you, there aren’t many chefs in Israel or elsewhere who have his raw talent. He can take any ingredient and make it breath, come alive and become superbly delicious. No doubt all great chefs struggle and I hope he can get past his struggle and conquer himself once again.
