I laughed it when the ministry in Malaysia advised women to refrain from being “sarcastic” if they asked for help with household chores. And it urged women working from home to dress up and wear makeup. Chauvinistic but sensible for some cultures where nagging is persistent.

It is true though, women nag more than men because men are always complaining. I am rarely nagged if ever, so I recommend focusing on the beauty of our city’s corners unless you are on lockdown.

Tokyo is not on lockdown for two reasons: one the fatalities are very low and the Japanese are very obedient and almost always follow the suggestions of government. And while there is a central government they do not wish to be heavy-handed with municipalities out of respect for fellow politicians. This system cannot work anywhere else and certainly not in western cultures.
